Cochran’s is announcing a new, computerized Sandblast Curtain – custom-made for the standard sandblast room. Cochran’s Sandman is powered with a 110 power demand at a maximum draw of 20 amps, thus conserving energy. A standard computer, along with custom software to receive the sandblast carving and lettering from your CAD software, will direct the Cochran’s Sandman to sandblast ONLY areas with carving and lettering!
Only areas with carvings and lettering will be blasted – not the entire stone. This will produce good, clean sandblast work in a fraction of the time traditional sandblast curtains use.
Special features of the Cochran’s Sandman are:
1) Reduced sandblast time (it’s just blasting where the carving and lettering are!)
2) Reduced compressor time (it’s just blasting where the carving and lettering are!)
3) Reduced abrasive usage (it’s just blasting where the carving and lettering are!)
4) Reduced electricity charges (it’s using 110 power).
5) Prolonged production (it will go from stone to stone for as many memorials as will fit in the sandblast room).
The 8-foot model will allow a blasting area of about 7 feet wide by 4 feet 6 inches tall. Only areas with carvings and lettering will be blasted – not the entire stone. This feature will save 30% to 60% in time, compressed air and abrasive.
