FIRSTS –

1976 – One of the first wholesale granite brokerages.
1987 – One of the first companies to market CAD software to cut stencil for monumental sandblasts (Cochran’s Quick-Cut Systems). There are hundreds of Cochran’s Quick-Cut Systems throughout the United States and Canada.
1995 – The FIRST monument company to develop, use and market Laser-Etching Systems for the Monument Industry.

We purchase manufactured monuments, slants, markers, etc. and add high-quality sandblast carvings and lettering, or laser-etchings and lettering all via computer programs. All of our sandblast carvings are computer generated (COCHRAN’S Monumental Designer CAD 2000). These designs can be seen in our published series (QDD series) or on this web site.

Cochran’s Laser-Etching System is completely computerized from design to etching! Laser-etching has all of the precision and quality of hand-etching; and will letter any monument or war memorial with any size lettering!! Laser-etched portraits are popular and life-like.

For the new century, we now market updated, streamlined and enhanced CAD software (COCHRAN’S Monumental Designer CAD 2000) and the Laser-Etching Systems (COCHRAN’S Laser-Etching Systems) for the monument industry.

We still sell granite adding our custom monument carvings (QDD Design Series) and lettering or Laser-Etched designs, (EE, NEL, COC, etc), portraits and lettering. We produce custom-made, sandblast-carved or Laser-Etched memorials at our Barre facility.

We also market software and equipment for 1). Cutting sandblast stencil and 2). Laser-Etchings. Cochran’s can produce the finished memorial for the retail monument shop, or sell the software and equipment for monument companies to quickly produce stencil or laser-etchings.
